MLO 3: Secondary Culture Other Than Japanese
3.1 Students describe concepts of culture and use that understanding in their comparison of the Japanese culture with a second culture other than Japan.
3.2 Students will analyze and make connections between the perspectives, ways of thinking, behavioral practices, and cultural products of a second culture other than Japanese.

Reflective Narrative:
Through SPAN 308 I was able to become more formally familiarized with culture of the people who resided in the southwestern United States. As I have lived my entire life in California I thought I had learned all there was to learn about the history of the state, but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong upon taking SPAN 308. I was able to learn in depth about key figures in Mexican history like Cesar Chavez and how great of a figure he became to workers in the agriculture industry.
